Redington is an investment consultancy business that wished to relocate to a refurbished space in Angel Court, London from Austin Friars to allow room for planned growth. A total of 100 staff were part of the relocation which was to take place over one weekend.
Premier Workplaces Services was appointed directly by the client following a recommendation from the fit out contractor with whom Premier had completed similar projects.
Premier’s Project Managers attended planning meetings with Redington to co-ordinate timings and put together detailed audits and mapping of furniture, desking, servers and IT equipment to be moved.
Premier Moves division provided crates and packaging to ensure the safe transport of all items to the new location. The move commenced on the Friday, during which Premier Systems IT division prioritised all IT-related move items in order to relocate servers and IT equipment. At shortly after 4pm, the client was notified of a road closure on London Wall which would prevent vehicular access to the Angel Court office building from 6pm that evening and continue through the weekend. Premier recognised that with flexibility the move could still go ahead and increased the crew in order to accommodate the collection and delivery of crates on foot.
- Project Management
- Supply crates and packaging
- Flexible relocation provision
- IT and server decommission and recommission
- Clearance and recycling of legacy site
Shortly before the relocation was scheduled to take place, it was revealed that constraints would limit vehicle access to the existing property which would mean the Premier Team needed walk the items being moved over a much further distance.
Premier was able to provide flexibility to overcome the access constraints, and following the successful relocation, was engaged by Redington to further support their requirement in clearing their legacy building in line with the vacant handover to their landlord.
“We would happily refer Premier to others looking to move offices, we were left very satisfied customers.” – Lee Georgs, Redington
