Client Requirement

The team at National Football League (NFL) were looking to relocate to allow for expansion as the presence of NFL in the UK has grown extensively in recent years. The project required the relocation of 40 staff from W1F to their newly built office in SW1Y.

The move was to take place over a weekend, followed by the clearance of the redundant office to be completed by the following weekend.

Project Solution

Premier Workplace Services was contracted by Cushman & Wakefield to complete all relocation and sustainable clearance works.

In order to plan and implement the relocation, Premier provided a move manager and account manager who collaborated with the NFL facilities team in order to provide a detailed audit of furniture and filing requirements, as well as assisting the NFL facilities team with seating allocations.

Premier’s team for the project included pre-move support, a packing team and IT specialists, with a support team available throughout the relocation to assist staff with all queries and requirements.

The packing team from Premier followed the detailed project plan produced and worked alongside the NFL team to pack all filing, merchandise and miscellaneous items. During the weekend, out of office hours, Premier unpacked all filing crates into the allocated storage cabinets and areas so as to reduce the impact on daily operations.  

During the weekend, Premier’s IT specialists fulfilled the decommissioning and recommissioning of IT workstations, and the de-racking, transportation and re-racking of 5 servers.

Following a successful relocation, Premier provided a support team for staff arriving post-move on the Monday to assist with queries and requirements and carry out the collection of empty crates. 

To fulfil the clearance of the W1F office, Premier supplied a fitting team to dismantle all desks and tables ready for collection by the clearance team who delivered all redundant items back to Premier Storage for recycling or remanufacture and resale.

Nearly all furniture items from the 40 staff office, including terrace furniture, was resold remanufactured for future use, any other items that could no longer be used were recycled.

Project Feedback

NFL were pleased to receive a credit of over £1,000 for clearance works rather than a charge for recycling, due to Premier Sustain’s Renew Centre remanufacturing the items for resale.
