White paper: The impact of unsuitable workspaces on Britain’s SMEs

05 March 2019

Crown Workspace has published a white paper looking at how office environments and design are holding back SMEs, the lifeblood of the UK economy, and what can be done to improve office space for the ‘missed middle’.

The paper argues that designer offices are not available to the majority of SMEs, explains why that is and what can be done by landlords and business owners to create the optimum workspace.

Crown goes on to look at the impact of substandard workspaces on businesses.  According to a survey carried out by the company, 68% of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) said that their current workplace is limiting engagement and ability to retain the best talent.

The white paper also looks at the role of technology in the workspace and how SMEs could be held back further by failing to install workplace tech.
